Development and Effect of Career Group Counseling Program for the Maladjusted Elementary School Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop and analyze the effect of career group counseling program for the maladjusted elementary school students. The group program was developed based on Kim(2002)"s six steps program development model ? goal setting, program composition, pilot study, program revision, execution, and improvement. Students¡¯ maladaptiveness were measured in terms of Child Problem-Behavior Screening Questionnaire(CPSQ), Career maturity test, Self-esteem test, and School adaptation test. Mixed-method utilizing ANOVA and qualitative studies reveled the positive program effects on the levels of career maturity, self-esteem, and school adjustment. Discussion and future direction were elaborated in the present study.
